About

EdPrograms

Educational Programs (EdPrograms) is an organization established to promote international education through short-term immersion programs and university recruitment tours. We take pride in being a social enterprise.

EdPrograms was conceptualized by the founder during a kitchen tour at a culinary school. We are a young and dynamic organization and all our team members are U.S. graduates with an extensive travel history. The founder of EdPrograms has managed and operated over 21 programs and tours since 2012 for students, high school counselors and U.S. university representatives for the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Commission in Pakistan.

The EdTour, a university recruitment tour is for higher education institutions (HEIs) interested to recruit international students from Pakistan for undergraduate and graduate programs. After organizing and managing 13 U.S. university recruitment tours for EducationUSA and the Fulbright Commission Pakistan, we know what the HEIs want from these tours. Starting with 5 universities in 2012 and bringing in 40+ HEIs in 2018 is a testament of the service we provide on our tours. The tour is run by a self-proclaimed food connoisseur. Come hungry and enjoy the culinary journey across Pakistan while meeting talented students.

Our flagship program, Career Pathways for international high school students and counselors has been running successfully since 2016. Over 100 students and 40 counselors have participated in our programs to date. Our programs have been hosted at over 80 universities and colleges across the U.S. and now expanding to Qatar, Spain and China.

The goal of the program is to provide students from around the world an insight into international education through experiential learning in various disciplinary fields. The program also allows students to gain an insight into various career options through hands-on workshops and expert-led sessions on subjects ranging from business, natural sciences, engineering, humanities, interdisciplinary studies, hospitality to computer science and many more. To focus on soft skills and the importance of inculcating civic values, students also participate in activities that the average college student enjoys, such as museums, amusement parks, sports, hiking, and much more.

The essence behind this program is to broaden the horizons and mental approach of our students. From an early age of 14-15, students are expected to know what field (Science, Engineering or Business) they would like to pursue their career in. This restricts the critical thinking of the students and dissuades them from thinking outside the box. Hence, all our programs focus on educating students about the multitude of career options out there. There is special emphasis on teaching life skills and etiquettes to our students to make them responsible citizens.
