Why The EdTour?
Virtual Edition
EdTour Virtual Edition was initially created as a result of travel restrictions during COVID-19, it has evolved into a highly successful event that allows students to engage with various university representatives from the comfort of their home. The EdTour – VE (Fall 2023) aims to provide a productive and engaging admissions event for participating institutions who wish to recruit or explore South Asia and Africa virtually. With our increasing presence in 17 countries (and counting..), EdTour-VE can be your virtual opportunity to globalize your student community.
Replicating the success of FIVE past EdTour Virtual editions with participation from 70+ higher education institutions, a one-day event for undergraduate and another one-day event for graduate recruitment is planned.
Each participating higher education institution (HEI) will have its individual virtual booth for students to join in small groups throughout the event. All sessions and activities will be live. HEIs and students have the option to share their video, audio, or just text to interact.
Our Audience
As we continue to conduct immersive EdTours on-site, we have successfully explored uncharted territories and expanded our audience beyond previous boundaries. This achievement has enabled us to anticipate a diverse range of participants for EdTour – VE, including individuals from regions like South Asia, East Africa, North Africa, and beyond.

Africa, with its staggering population of 1.2 billion, stands as the second most populous continent globally, accounting for a significant 16% of the world’s population. Interestingly, over 60% of the African population is under the age of 25, with a projection of a 42% global youth population by 2030. Such statistics indicate a youthful and vibrant continent bursting with potential.
On the other hand, South Asia is renowned for its rich cultural heritage as one of the earliest civilizations in the world. This region boasts one of the highest population densities on earth, and its diversity is reflected in its languages, religions, and cultures, making it a captivating and exciting destination for EdTour – VE participants.

In addition, get a chance to network with high school counselors as part of the EdTour-VE.
Graduate Admissions Representatives
Engage in meaningful discussions with the dynamic undergraduate students of South Asia, Africa and Turkey interested in the fields of STEM, Business and Social Sciences through our EdTour virtual platform.

Eligibility Requirements
- This tour is open to accredited higher education institutions only.
- Institutions must be accredited two-year, four-year and graduate degree-granting.
- EdTour participants must be full-time admissions staff of the participating institution
- Alumni and recruitment agents can not represent the registered institution on our tours.
- Participating Institutions must adhere to the NAFSA’s Statement of Ethical Principles.
- In terms of excess registrations, institutions will be selected to join the tour by the EdPrograms Advisory Board.
